A man in his 30s was killed after he was believed to have been thrown into a drain following a collision involving a vehicle along Jalan Kapar, Batu 5, early Wednesday morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said emergency services received a distress call regarding the incident at 3.23am.
A team of seven firefighters from the Klang Utara Fire and Rescue Station was immediately deployed to the scene, located about five kilometres away.
“Upon arrival at around five minutes later, the team found the victim inside a two-metre-deep drain,” he said in a statement.
Firefighters then used a stretcher to retrieve the victim before medical personnel from the Health Ministry confirmed that the man had died at the scene.
