Perak Police Chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin has been appointed as the new Director of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) at Bukit Aman, effective June 15.
The transfer is part of a wider reshuffle involving four senior officers of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), which was announced in a statement last night.
PDRM Bukit Aman Corporate Communications head Julina Salehuddin said the reshuffle also involves several key leadership changes within the force.
She said Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin, who was previously Deputy Penang Police Chief, has been appointed as the new Perak Police Chief with the rank of Acting Police Commissioner.
Meanwhile, Datuk Abdul Rahman Kassim has been appointed as the new Deputy Penang Police Chief.
In another appointment, Datuk Mohamad Noor Yusof Ali, who served as the JPJKK chief in Pahang, has been named the new Police Secretary of Malaysia, holding the rank of Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The reshuffle is part of routine leadership adjustments within PDRM aimed at strengthening operational efficiency and enhancing crime prevention strategies nationwide.
