A video showing a woman believed to be a foreign national jumping from an upper level at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread concern and commotion.
According to multiple posts on Threads, the incident is believed to have taken place at the airport’s departure hall, where members of the public were seen gathering after the unusual episode unfolded.
One social media user claimed the woman jumped from an upper floor before getting back up and walking in a disoriented manner after landing on the ground.
‘If it were us, we would have broken a leg or dislocated it’ the user wrote, describing the woman’s condition following the incident.
Meanwhile, another individual who claimed to be present at the scene alleged that the woman, believed to be from China, acted in such a manner as she wanted to return to her home country but did not have a boarding pass.
“For your information, this Chinese woman jumped from above because she wanted to go back to China, but she didn’t have a boarding pass. I was in the video and saw it from below,” the commenter said.
Checks in the comment section showed many users expressing concern over safety at the airport, while also questioning the dangerous act which could have endangered other members of the public in the area.
Some netizens also criticised the situation, calling for stricter enforcement and tighter security measures at the airport.
However, as of now, there has been no official statement issued by KLIA authorities or the police regarding the incident.
