Malaysia Masters 2026 runners-up Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani continued their strong form to book a place in the Singapore Open quarter-finals after defeating compatriots Arif Junaidi and Yap Roy King.
The match saw Arif-Roy King putting up a strong fight, pushing the contest to three sets before Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin sealed a 23-21, 16-21, 21-8 victory.
The win also extended Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin’s impressive record against the same opponents, having previously beaten them at the India Open last year and the China Open in 2024.
Arif-Roy King narrowly lost the opening set 23-21 but fought back to take the second set 21-16, forcing a deciding game.
However, in the final set, Sze Fei and Izzuddin took full control, dominating the play to secure a comfortable 21-8 win.
In the quarter-finals, Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin will face Indonesia’s third seeds Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, who defeated Malaysia Masters 2026 champions Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard 21-13, 21-12.
