Warehouse Worker Killed After Motorcycle Crashes Into Pothole In Gua Musang

A 23-year-old warehouse worker has died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed following impact with a pothole along Jalan Kampung Kerinting in Gua Musang.

The victim, identified as Muhammad Ashraff Rosmadi, was pronounced dead at Gua Musang Hospital at about 10.38pm on Tuesday, nearly 23 hours after receiving emergency treatment for severe injuries.

Gua Musang District Police Chief, Superintendent Sik Choon Foo, said preliminary investigations found that the victim was riding a Honda EX5 motorcycle from Bandar Lama towards Kampung Kundur at about 11.30pm on the day of the incident.

He said the victim is believed to have struck a pothole on the road, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle before skidding off the roadway.

The impact of the crash caused serious head injuries, and the victim was rushed to the emergency unit of Gua Musang Hospital for treatment.

Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries nearly a day later.

Police have classified the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving causing death.
