A king cobra measuring nearly three metres long has caught public attention after it was found hiding inside a Toyota Alphard MPV in Ipoh, Perak.
The incident was shared on TikTok by firefighter Umar Affan, who posted a video showing a rescue operation to safely capture the venomous reptile.
In the footage, several firefighters are seen carefully extracting the snake, which is believed to have slithered into the luxury vehicle’s engine compartment.
The firefighter captioned the video with a light-hearted remark, saying the king cobra had “chosen a luxury car this time”.
The 1.26-minute clip quickly went viral, drawing humorous reactions from social media users who joked about the snake’s unusual “choice” of hiding spot.
Some users quipped that the snake appeared to have “VIP taste”, while others praised the firefighters for their quick and careful handling of the situation.
