17-Year-Old Student Injured After Fall From Fourth Floor Of Private School

A 17-year-old female student was injured after reportedly falling from the fourth floor of a Chinese private school in Pontian earlier today.

Pontian District Police Chief Superintendent Hadzrat Hussein Mion Hussain said authorities received a report regarding the incident at approximately 9am.

Preliminary investigations found no evidence of bullying or criminal elements that could have led to the student’s fall. However, police stressed that further investigations are still ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to information obtained, the teenager fell from the fourth floor of the school building before crashing through a covered walkway and landing on the ground below.

The school’s management said its emergency response procedures were activated immediately after the incident. An ambulance was subsequently called to transport the student to hospital for medical treatment.

School officials also confirmed that the student’s parents were informed about the incident and that a police report had been lodged to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Incidents involving student safety often raise concerns among parents and the wider community, prompting schools and authorities to review safety measures while awaiting the outcome of investigations.
