PM Anwar Approves RM250,000 Emergency Fund For Sipitang School Upgrades

Date:

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has approved an immediate special allocation of RM250,000 to support development and repair works for basic facilities at a secondary school in Sipitang.

He said details on the implementation and fund disbursement will be coordinated urgently through the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU), Prime Minister’s Department.

Anwar stressed the need for swift execution of approved projects, saying delays in implementation must be avoided to ensure timely benefits for schools and communities.

Speaking at the Sabah Southern MADANI Link groundbreaking ceremony, he said he did not want approved projects to face long bureaucratic delays before being carried out.

He also instructed relevant agencies to visit the school within two weeks to assess requirements and expedite the necessary assistance for the benefit of teachers and students.

The Prime Minister further called on Sabah residents to continue strengthening cooperation between the federal and state governments to ensure smooth development progress.

He said political stability at both state and federal levels is essential to attract foreign investment and allow the government to focus on the people’s welfare.

Anwar added that prolonged political disputes should be put aside as they hinder development and discourage investor confidence in the country.
