Barisan Nasional (BN) will contest the upcoming Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections under its traditional “dacing” logo, secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir confirmed.
He said the decision was among five key resolutions agreed during the BN annual meeting held at the Johor UMNO office.
Zambry said both state polls have been identified as BN’s main priority, with the party committing to fully mobilise its election machinery to secure victory.
He added that BN also reaffirmed its continued support for the federal unity government until the end of its current term.
According to him, this commitment is crucial in maintaining political stability, sustaining investor confidence, and ensuring the continuity of the national economic development agenda for the benefit of the people.
The Johor state election is scheduled for July 11, while Negeri Sembilan will go to the polls on August 1.
