Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to attend the announcement of candidates for the 16th Johor state election in Bukit Gambir, Tangkak, tomorrow night.
In a social media posting on Sunday, Anwar said he will join PH leadership in unveiling the candidates who will be entrusted with the responsibility of serving the people in the upcoming state election.
“I will be in Bukit Gambir tomorrow, God willing, to join Pakatan Harapan leaders in announcing the candidates who will carry the trust of the people in the Johor state election,” said Anwar, who is also the Prime Minister.
He added that Johor deserves leadership that is integrity-driven, capable and committed to driving the state’s progress while ensuring the well-being of all citizens.
Anwar also extended an invitation to the public to attend the event, describing it as an early step towards securing victory for the coalition.
The PH candidate announcement for the 16th Johor state election is scheduled to take place at 8pm at Padang Bukit Gambir Extreme Park, Tangkak.
The Election Commission has set July 11 as polling day for the state election, with nomination day on June 27 and early voting on July 7.
