Malaysian Rider Hakim Danish Delivers Historic Moto3 Triumph In Czech Republic

Date:

Young Malaysian rider Hakim Danish Ramli ended a 10-year wait for the Jalur Gemilang to fly proudly in Moto3 after delivering a sensational comeback victory at the Czech Grand Prix at the Brno Circuit today.

What made the win even more remarkable was his recovery after being penalised following the qualifying session, which had initially put him at a disadvantage.

Hakim Danish had earlier impressed by securing second on the grid after showing strong pace throughout the weekend in Brno, but a penalty for slowing his bike in one of the sectors during Q2 forced him to start from 14th position.

Despite the setback, the 18-year-old rider showed remarkable composure and determination, launching an aggressive charge through the field once the race began.

He steadily overtook his rivals one by one before crossing the finish line in first place with a winning time of 33 minutes 34.26 seconds.

The victory marked a dramatic turnaround and highlighted his maturity and race intelligence under pressure.

Spain’s Brian Uriarte finished second, just 0.466 seconds behind, while fellow Spaniard Marco Quiles completed the podium in third place, 0.629 seconds adrift of the Malaysian rider.

The triumph also ended Malaysia’s long Moto3 victory drought, with the last win recorded by Khairul Idham Pawi in 2016.

Khairul Idham previously made history with wins at the Argentina and Germany Grands Prix in Moto3, which remained Malaysia’s only victories in the category until Hakim Danish’s breakthrough performance today.
