The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning for several states, warning of heavy rain and strong winds. The alert is effective until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, 3 September 2025.
Authorities advise that the warning was issued due to indications of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20 mm per hour, which could persist for an hour or more. Each thunderstorm warning is a short-term advisory, valid for up to six hours per issuance.

- Perlis
- Kedah: Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang
- Terengganu: Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang
- Pahang: Bera, Rompin
- Selangor: Klang, Petaling
- Negeri Sembilan: Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol, Tampin
- Johor: Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kota Tinggi
- Sarawak: Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang
- Sabah:
- Inland: Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau, Tambunan
- West Coast: Tuaran, Ranau, Kota Belud
- Tawau: Tawau, Kunak, Semporna
- Kudat: Kota Marudu
Residents in affected areas are urged to take precautions, avoid outdoor activities, and stay updated with local weather reports.
