PM Anwar To Announce PH Candidates For Negeri Sembilan Election

Date:

Pakatan Harapan (PH) Negeri Sembilan will announce its list of candidates contesting in the upcoming state election on Tuesday.

PH Negeri Sembilan chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the candidate announcement will be made in Kuala Pilah by PH chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

However, Aminuddin remained tight-lipped when asked about the state constituency he would contest in during the Aug 1 state election.

“I have no comment for now. I also do not know yet. Wait until July 14,” he told reporters after attending the presentation ceremony of special grants to Negeri Sembilan Residents’ Association Committees (KRT) for 2026 on Thursday.

Commenting on individuals who have already introduced themselves as PH candidates, Aminuddin said it was up to them, but advised everyone to wait for the official announcement next week.

“Wait for the announcement from the president, that is the most accurate. My advice to everyone is to work towards victory,” he said.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin, who is also the Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, presented a total of RM342,000 in special grants to 342 KRT committees across the state during the event.

He said the allocation reflected the state government’s confidence in the ability and credibility of KRT leadership to plan and carry out programmes that benefit local communities.

“I hope the grants received will be used responsibly, wisely and transparently.

“Every ringgit allocated should be utilised for programmes that create a positive impact on the community,” he said.
