Police Probe Sharp Weapon Threat At Wangsa Maju Bus Stop

Police are investigating an incident involving a man who was allegedly threatened with a sharp weapon while waiting for a bus near a university in Wangsa Maju.

Wangsa Maju District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Annas Sulaiman said police had received a report from the victim regarding the incident.

He said no arrests have been made so far as investigations are ongoing to identify the suspect.

“A case investigation paper has been opened under Section 324 of the Penal Code,” he said when contacted on Friday.

The incident gained attention on social media after a video showing a man allegedly being attacked and threatened with a sharp weapon at a bus stop went viral.

The footage showed a man wearing black allegedly approaching another man dressed in white before repeatedly kicking and making stabbing motions towards him.

The victim’s current condition has yet to be confirmed.
