Pakatan Harapan (PH) has pledged to continue delivering a clean, stable and integrity-driven administration if it is given a fresh mandate in the 16th Negri Sembilan state election on Aug 1.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also PH chairman, appealed to voters in Negri Sembilan to place their trust in the coalition and grant it a stronger mandate to continue governing the state.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Anwar said, “To Allah SWT we place our trust,” while sharing a verse from Surah Al Ma’idah that emphasises the importance of helping one another in doing good and avoiding hostility.
The coalition is contesting all 36 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats in the election, with 16 candidates representing PKR, 11 from DAP and nine from Amanah.
The upcoming state election is expected to play a key role in determining the political direction of Negri Sembilan, with parties intensifying their campaigns ahead of polling day.
Early voting has been scheduled for July 28, while polling for the 16th Negri Sembilan state election will take place on Aug 1.
PH has expressed confidence that continued public support will enable the coalition to maintain political stability and carry on its administrative agenda in the state.
