Government Listening To Youth Concerns, Says PM Anwar

Date:

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has assured Malaysian youths that the government remains open to their concerns, views and suggestions while calling on them to avoid ideologies that could create division.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of National Training Week 2026, Anwar said the Madani government valued feedback from young people as it played an important role in improving policies and strengthening government programmes.

He said constructive criticism from youths would help ensure that development efforts continue to benefit all segments of society and prevent anyone from being left behind.

“Do not be influenced by ideologies that weaken and destroy,” he said in his address.

Anwar acknowledged that the government does not have immediate solutions to every challenge faced by the people, but stressed that progress can be achieved through cooperation and shared responsibility.

“I am not here to say we have all the answers. I am not here to say we can solve everything overnight,” he said.

However, he emphasised that the government was committed to taking steps forward and improving its efforts through collaboration with the people, especially the younger generation.

Anwar said a willingness to listen and admit areas for improvement was important in building a better future for the country.
