A driver’s decision to travel against the flow of traffic on a highway during the early morning hours has raised concerns among road users.
The incident, which took place at around 3am, was shared by Threads user @Raasuzuran, who claimed a vehicle was seen driving in the opposite direction along the highway.
According to the post, her husband repeatedly sounded the horn as a warning after noticing the vehicle travelling against the traffic flow.
“Never expected to witness something like this at 3am. The driver just continued driving that way. After my husband honked several times and followed the vehicle, the driver eventually turned back,” she said.
In response to questions from other users, the woman said the incident occurred along the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) heading towards Seri Kembangan.
The post received various reactions from netizens, with many reminding motorists not to make dangerous decisions such as driving against traffic even when roads appear to be quiet.
One user, @Zamri3463, said such actions could endanger the lives of other road users and potentially lead to serious accidents.
“How can someone put other people’s lives at risk? What if the vehicle collided with a motorcycle? Action should be taken against irresponsible drivers like this,” the user commented.
Meanwhile, another user, @Rospurple, suggested that the driver may have taken the wrong route and continued driving until finding a suitable location to make a U-turn.
The incident has once again highlighted the dangers of driving against traffic, a move that can put both the driver and other road users at serious risk.
