An 86-year-old man was injured after he became trapped under his Perodua Kembara while carrying out repairs on the vehicle at Jalan Kampung Majid 1 on Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred at about 3.05pm, prompting the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) to send a team to the scene.
Operations commander Senior Fire Officer II Mohd Ridzuan Mohd Zait said the victim was found trapped beneath his vehicle upon the arrival of firefighters.
He said nine firefighters, supported by a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle and an Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) unit, were deployed to the location, which was about five kilometres away.
“Firefighters used road rescue equipment to remove the victim from underneath the vehicle.
“The man was successfully freed in an injured condition before being handed over to medical personnel for further treatment,” he said in a statement.
The rescue operation ended at about 3.30pm.
