Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated the Malaysian contingent for their outstanding fighting spirit and impressive performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
In a Facebook post on Monday night, Anwar also expressed his appreciation to the coaches, officials, support staff and all Malaysians who continuously prayed for the success of the national team.
“Alhamdulillah, my heartfelt congratulations to the entire Malaysian contingent for displaying extraordinary determination and delivering a commendable performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
“Thank you to the coaches, officials, support staff and all Malaysians who have always prayed for the success of our national contingent. Well done to all our Malaysian heroes and heroines,” he wrote.
Malaysia concluded its campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games with an impressive haul of eight gold medals, three silver medals and five bronze medals, finishing 10th overall in the final medal standings.
