A 16-year-old schoolboy was found dead after he was believed to have fallen from the 24th floor of a condominium at X2 Residence, Jalan Putra Prima, Puchong, yesterday evening.
Sepang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman said police received an emergency call through the MERS 999 system at about 5.50pm regarding the incident.
He said a team of police personnel rushed to the location and found the local teenager unconscious on the road near Block B of the condominium.
“Initial investigations found that the victim was a secondary school student in Puchong. Medical officers from Sultan Idris Shah Hospital, Serdang, who arrived at the scene confirmed that he had died,” he said when contacted.
The incident drew an immediate response from police and medical personnel, who secured the area before the victim was taken for further procedures.
Norhizam said the victim’s remains were subsequently transported to Sultan Idris Shah Hospital, Serdang, for a post-mortem examination.
The examination will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death, while police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
