Five Arrested After Armed Attack Leaves Two Injured At Klang Eatery

Five men have been remanded for three days after two local men were allegedly attacked by a group armed with several objects at an eatery in Jalan Chan Ah Choo, Pandamaran, here on Saturday night.

South Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Lim Jit Huey said the incident occurred at around 11.30pm.

He said the two victims, aged 22 and 26, suffered injuries to their faces and noses after being assaulted by several suspects.

Both victims were subsequently taken to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR), Klang, for medical treatment.

“Acting on information received, South Klang district police headquarters arrested five local suspects aged between 18 and 25 on 23 August.

“All the suspects have been remanded for three days until 26 August to assist with further investigations,” he said in a statement on Monday.

Lim said the motive behind the attack has yet to be determined, with police still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code, which relates to rioting while armed with a dangerous weapon or other objects.

Police have urged anyone with information that could assist the investigation to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing to establish what led to the assault and determine the roles of all five suspects.
