Desa ParkCity Tragedy: Suspect’s Cause Of Death Confirmed

Date:

The 48-year-old man believed to be involved in the deaths of his wife and two children at a Desa ParkCity condominium in Kepong died from multiple injuries consistent with a fall from a height, police said.

City police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the post-mortem examination on the man was completed this evening at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

“The findings showed that the cause of death was multiple injuries consistent with a fall from a height,” he said in a brief statement tonight.

Fadil added that both families were making arrangements to collect the remains for burial.

The man’s wife, 47, and their two children, a seven-year-old boy and nine-year-old girl, were previously found dead inside a unit at the same condominium.

Post-mortems conducted on the children yesterday found that both had died from stab wounds to the neck.

Meanwhile, the examination of the mother concluded that she suffered fatal sharp-force injuries to the neck and chest.

The deaths of all four family members have been linked by investigators to the circumstances surrounding an alleged love scam involving the wife, with police also examining reported financial losses and debts.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, alongside a separate investigation into sudden death.

Police are continuing to piece together the circumstances leading up to the tragedy as investigations into the deaths remain ongoing.
