Man’s Decomposed Body Found In Bushes, Believed Dead For More Than A Week

Date:

Police have confirmed the discovery of a decomposed man’s body in a bushy area near Jalan Persiaran Balairong U8, Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, today.

Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Sarudin Samah said police received a report from a member of the public at about 2.45pm before officers were dispatched to the scene to conduct further investigations.

“Initial investigations found that the deceased could not be identified as no identification documents were found with him at the scene.

“Physical examination of the body could also not be carried out due to its decomposed condition. Based on the state of the body, the man is believed to have died more than a week ago,” he said in a statement today.

Sarudin said the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Department at Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam, for a post-mortem examination scheduled for 2pm tomorrow.

The case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR), he said.

Sarudin also urged anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact investigating officer Inspector Mohd Fildza Che Ibrahim at 016-953 7372.
