‘PH Will Be Defeated’: PAS Youth Eyes Melaka, Selangor With Ummah Unity Strategy

Date:

PAS Youth in Selangor has predicted that a renewed push for “Ummah Unity” could see Pakatan Harapan (PH) defeated in Melaka and Selangor at the next state elections.

Its deputy chief, Muhammad Faizzuddin Mohd Zai, said the narrative championed by PAS during the party’s 72nd annual muktamar in Kelantan was expected to gain further momentum through the 2026 UMNO General Assembly.

He said closer cooperation between PAS and UMNO under the strategy could create a stronger and more stable Malay-Muslim political force, particularly after the 16th General Election (GE16), with both parties bringing different strengths to the table.

“PAS has strength through its Islamic movement and support from various segments of society, while UMNO has extensive experience in national administration and development.

“If this Ummah Unity can be translated into the Melaka and Selangor state elections, God willing, PH will be defeated in both states,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Muhammad Faizzuddin also said PAS was pursuing a longer-term political agenda through its Wawasan Induk Negara Sejahtera (WINS) 2051, which serves as the party’s long-term direction.

He said 2051 was chosen to coincide with the 100th anniversary of PAS, reflecting the party’s plans to navigate the country’s democratic challenges over the coming decades.

According to him, WINS 2051 covers areas including integrity, social justice, stability, economic prosperity, wealth distribution, economic value creation, education, healthcare, welfare and harmony within Malaysia’s multiracial society.

He added that PAS-led states had also developed long- and medium-term plans aligned with the agenda, including Kelantan Future State (KFS) 2033, The Greater Kedah (TGK) 2050 and the Pelan Induk Terengganu Sejahtera (PITAS) 2030.
