“We miss Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s leadership.”
That was the sentiment expressed by some of Najib’s supporters who gathered outside his residence in Jalan Langgak Duta today after the former prime minister was allowed to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.
Suzalena Anuar, 43, said she and several friends travelled from Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan, to show their support for the former Pekan MP.
“I came from Lenggeng after work to show my support. We miss Datuk Seri Najib’s leadership. I have supported him for a long time,” she said when met at the residence today.
Kosmo! reported that several of Najib’s supporters began gathering outside the residence in the early afternoon to follow developments involving the former prime minister.
Najib’s special officer, Ahmad Lutfi Azhar, was also seen arriving at the residence at about 4.35pm in a Proton X70.
Earlier, Najib was granted permission to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest after the Federal Territories Pardons Board for Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya granted him a conditional pardon today.
Under the decision, Najib is allowed to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest until Aug 23, 2028, subject to conditions including payment of a RM50 million fine.
