Police are investigating a fight at the Labu KTM Komuter station here, allegedly involving a station contractor and a passenger.
The incident, which was captured in a viral video, is believed to have occurred following a train delay of more than four hours.
Nilai district police chief Superintendent Johari Yahya said police detected the 1-minute-36-second video on TikTok at about 3.45pm on Saturday.
“The video shows two men involved in a fight at the Labu Komuter station,” he said in a statement.
Following the incident, the Labu police chief lodged a report at 4.26pm on Saturday. The case is being investigated under Section 160 of the Penal Code.
According to the video, an elderly passenger had approached a staff member to ask about the train delay but allegedly received an unpleasant response.
Another male passenger then confronted the staff member, which reportedly led to the fight.
KTMB said the individual involved was not one of its employees but a worker from a contractor appointed to provide services at the station.
The railway operator said it had suspended the contractor’s staff member involved in the incident with immediate effect.
Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Nilai district police headquarters operations room at 06-790 4222 or any nearby police station.
