Canada will provide C$100 million in international assistance for Palestine, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters at the United Nations, Carney said C$80 million of the funding would be allocated to humanitarian assistance aimed at addressing immediate suffering.
The remaining C$20 million will support peace and security capacity-building efforts, he said.
The announcement comes as international efforts continue to address the humanitarian situation in Palestine and support longer-term peace and security initiatives.
