Police have traced three men after a viral video showed two passengers sitting partially outside a moving Mercedes-Benz on the New Pantai Expressway (NPE).
Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the 31-second video went viral at around 7.35pm yesterday.
The footage showed a Mercedes-Benz C200 travelling along the expressway with a driver and two passengers, with one passenger in the front and another at the rear.
Both passengers were allegedly seen sitting on the vehicle’s door frames while the car was moving.
“The car was travelling from Jalan SS15 towards Subang Jaya at the time,” Wan Azlan said in a statement today.
He said police subsequently traced the driver and both passengers, all three of whom are 20-year-old men.
The case is being investigated under Section 47 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Investigations are being conducted by the Subang Jaya district police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division.
