All educational institutions under the Selangor Education Department (JPN Selangor) will operate as usual on Monday, but outdoor activities have been suspended amid air pollution concerns.
In a statement on Sunday, JPN Selangor said students attending school were encouraged to wear face masks as a precaution.
Parents or guardians concerned about their children’s health may keep them home, provided they inform the school, it said.
School administrators have also been instructed to monitor Air Pollutant Index (API) readings issued by the Department of Environment and pay particular attention to students at higher risk.
JPN Selangor advised parents, guardians and school communities to follow its official communication channels or contact their respective schools for verified and up-to-date information.
