A woman was allegedly caught stealing parcels from a house in Kampung Sungai Penchala, Kuala Lumpur, after the incident was recorded by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera on Saturday.
The footage was shared on Threads by a user identified as Rohana Fouzy, who claimed the parcels had been returned after the alleged theft came to light.
In her post, she said she had installed CCTV cameras after food orders previously went missing from her home.
“Parcel thief caught. I installed CCTV because food orders had gone missing before. When someone gets used to stealing, they take things that do not belong to them,” she wrote.
Rohana also alleged that the woman showed no remorse and had been taking parcels belonging to other residents.
She said the missing parcels were returned later that night, hours after the alleged theft.
“It happened in the afternoon, and the parcels were returned at night. This is a small village. Someone said her brother was looking for our parcels — what does that mean? There may have been other parcels stolen too,” she wrote.
Rohana urged residents to check their deliveries and report any missing parcels, expressing concern over thefts in the neighbourhood. She also shared a photograph of the parcels that had been found.
The post drew various reactions, with some social media users calling for a police report to be lodged and action to be taken against the woman.
One commenter suggested they recognised the woman, although the claim was not independently verified.
Another user, Gagakdirimba, urged Rohana to make a police report, saying people who engaged in such behaviour might not stop without action.
Meanwhile, another commenter suggested a prank involving a disposable nappy, claiming to have tried the idea before.
