A 17-year-old boy died after allegedly falling from the balcony of his home at a flat in Kentonmen, Rawang, on Wednesday night.
The incident was reported at about 9.30pm, according to Sungai Buloh district police chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor.
In a statement on Thursday morning, he said police had received a report that the local teenager had died after falling from his home’s balcony.
Police have classified the case as sudden death (SDR) and are continuing their investigation.
Mohd Hafiz urged the public not to speculate about the incident and to respect the family’s privacy.
He also warned against sharing photographs or unverified information related to the case on social media.
