A shocking sexual assault case has emerged in Haryana, northern India, where a 15-year-old girl went missing on the evening of October 26 after visiting a local market. She was reportedly abducted by four young men, drugged, and sexually assaulted over nine hours before being abandoned near her home around 4:30 a.m. the next day. Her sister reported her disappearance to the police.
According to reports, the girl was intercepted while shopping alone, forcibly placed in a car, and taken to a remote location where the assault occurred. Family members immediately alerted authorities once she returned. The victim informed her sister that she had been kidnapped, drugged, and assaulted in turns by the four men.
Faridabad Old Police Station head Vishnu Mittar confirmed a criminal investigation has been launched under relevant penal code provisions. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from Sector 18 Market and surrounding areas and are gathering witness statements and details recalled by the victim. Police believe the suspects are familiar with the area and hope to apprehend them soon.
Officials stressed that the victim’s physical and mental state currently prevents interrogation. She has been hospitalized for medical treatment and psychological counseling.
