South Korean rescue teams have recovered a third body from the rubble following the collapse of a massive structure at a power station in Ulsan, local media reported on Sunday.
Four workers remain trapped, with authorities still unable to locate two of them after the decommissioned heating facility collapsed on Thursday while crews were dismantling parts of the steel framework in preparation for demolition.
Footage from the scene on South Korea’s southeastern coast showed the huge steel structure twisted and toppled, surrounded by other industrial frameworks.
Rescue teams have deployed heat sensors, remote cameras, and search dogs to locate the missing workers, but progress has been slow due to the ongoing risk of another collapse.
The local fire department has not yet issued an official statement regarding the latest recovery efforts.
