Police Investigate Sudden Death of Newly Married Man in Baling

A 34-year-old man, who had been married for just two days, was found dead, hanging from a tree in Kampung Lubuk Kabu, Kuala Pegang, earlier today.

Baling District acting police chief, Deputy Superintendent Ahmad Salimi Md Ali, said authorities received a report about the incident at 11:30 a.m., and a team was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Initial investigations revealed that the man had climbed a neem tree approximately five meters tall near a house. Ahmad Salimi confirmed that medical personnel from the Kupang Health Clinic pronounced him dead at the scene.

The body has been sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
