Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp are taking their off-screen friendship to a new level — with Schnapp becoming the godfather to Brown’s adopted daughter.
The 21-year-old actress and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, reportedly adopted a baby girl over the summer. Brown confirmed the news in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, sharing that her Stranger Things co-star and longtime friend will play a special role in her daughter’s life.
The Enola Holmes actress said she loves watching her co-stars interact with the baby.
“They all turn into the most gooey, soft versions of themselves. Their baby voice comes out when they’re around her,” she said with a laugh.
Schnapp, also 21, expressed how meaningful it is to see Brown enter this new phase of her life.
“It’s honestly the greatest joy,” he said. “It’s crazy to see her grow from such a wide-eyed, innocent young girl — and now she’s a mum and married. I’m just so proud of her.”
Brown, who was only 10 when she landed her breakout role as Eleven in Stranger Things, has often credited the series for giving her a second family.
“It’s taught me so many lessons about professionalism, acting, and friendship,” she told People magazine earlier. “It’s given me the most amazing people in my life — they’re truly my family.”
The actress and her husband have chosen not to reveal their daughter’s name, prioritising her privacy.
In an interview with British Vogue, Brown explained:
“It’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to share it herself. If she chooses to do that one day, we’ll support her — but for now, it’s our job to keep her safe.”
She added that motherhood has profoundly changed her and Bongiovi’s perspective on life.
“It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey — she’s taught us so much already. The little things in life feel so much more precious now. Our days are filled with cuddles, laughter, and endless love.”
