ECRL Steel Pillars Come Crashing Down In Batu Caves, Car Crushed In Shocking Incident

Steel pillars from the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) construction site in Batu Caves collapsed yesterday afternoon, crashing down onto a car and triggering a swift emergency response.

The Selayang Fire and Rescue Department said in a statement today that the sole victim inside the vehicle was pulled to safety by members of the public before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The victim’s condition has yet to be confirmed, but authorities reported that no additional injuries or casualties were recorded.
