POP MART Brings Crybaby To Southeast Asia With First Malaysia Debut At Sunway Pyramid

Date:

POP MART International Group has chosen Malaysia as the first destination in Southeast Asia to debut its popular character ‘Crybaby’, marking a major regional milestone for the global collectible toy brand.

The company, well known for its mystery blind box products, announced that POP MART Malaysia will launch the Crybaby series titled “Cry Me An Ocean” at Sunway Pyramid from May 14 to May 24.

According to POP MART, the special event will officially launch on May 15, featuring an imaginative ocean-themed concept that blends emotional storytelling with the distinctive identity of Crybaby, a character widely loved among art toy collectors and modern pop culture fans.

The brand described the large-scale pop-up as a significant achievement for POP MART Malaysia, reflecting the rising popularity of Crybaby across Southeast Asia.

As a teaser ahead of the main launch, a giant inflatable Crybaby installation has already been placed at the Blue Entrance of Sunway Pyramid near Sunway Lagoon starting today, designed to attract visitors and fans ahead of the official opening at the Orange Concourse.

POP MART Malaysia also revealed that the artist behind Crybaby, Molly, will be making her first appearance in Malaysia. An exclusive autograph session with the artist is scheduled to take place on May 16.

During the event period, the Orange Concourse will be fully transformed into an immersive ocean-inspired world based on the latest Crybaby series.

Visitors will not only be able to purchase exclusive Crybaby merchandise, but also enjoy interactive experiences, including themed photo zones and specially curated activities aimed at bringing fans closer to the character’s universe.

In addition, shoppers will be entitled to exclusive gifts with purchase starting May 15 to commemorate the official launch of Cry Me An Ocean. The giveaways include themed eye masks, stickers, scarves, and other limited-edition collectibles, available while stocks last.
