A woman has sparked outrage among social media users after she was accused of kicking kittens at a rest and service area, causing one of the animals to be thrown several metres into the air.
The incident was shared on Threads by user @Mdaudyusof, who claimed the elderly woman approached a group of youths who were feeding a mother cat and her kittens at the location.
According to the post, the woman had questioned the youths over their actions before allegedly confronting the animals.
“After finishing her business, the woman approached the four young men and asked why they were feeding the cats. I explained that the cats were hungry,” the user claimed.
The situation allegedly escalated when the woman kicked the kittens, with the post claiming one of them was thrown around three to four metres away. The incident left witnesses shocked and concerned over the welfare of the animals.
The woman was also accused of questioning the purpose of feeding the cats and criticising those who spent their own money to buy food for them.
The eyewitness said he later confronted the woman and expressed his disapproval before she eventually left the area.
The incident has since drawn criticism from social media users, with many condemning the alleged act and calling for kindness towards animals.
Several users expressed sympathy for the kittens, saying the animals were only seeking food and should not be treated violently. Others praised the individual who stepped forward to defend the animals and voice concerns over the alleged incident.
