Woman’s Body Discovered In Burnt Car As Police Investigate

A 45-year-old woman was found dead inside a burnt electric vehicle (EV) in Kalebase, Tarakeshwar-1, Nepal, on Saturday afternoon.

The victim, identified as Rashmi Rijal from Tarakeshwar-9, had reportedly been missing since Friday after leaving her home earlier that morning.

Kathmandu District Police chief Senior Superintendent Dilip Ghimire confirmed that Rashmi’s family had lodged a missing person report after she left her house at around 7am with her mobile phone switched off.

Authorities later discovered the vehicle belonging to the victim in the Tarakeshwar area, with Rashmi’s body found inside the car in a burnt condition.

Ghimire said police are investigating the case and looking into all possible angles to determine the actual sequence of events leading to the woman’s death.

The victim’s body was subsequently sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for a post-mortem examination.

Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing as authorities work to uncover the circumstances surrounding the case.
