Blackpink’s Lisa Named Amazing Thailand Tourism Ambassador in Star-Studded Wat Arun Launch

Date:

Blackpink’s Lisa has been named the Amazing Thailand Ambassador for the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s “Feel All The Feelings” campaign, bringing her influence back to her home country. The Thai-born K-pop star’s appointment was unveiled on January 28 during a spectacular ceremony at Wat Arun, one of Bangkok’s iconic Buddhist temples, featuring fireworks and a drone display.

In her new role, Lalisa Manoban will promote Thai tourism, providing what the agency calls “a new perspective” on the country, while encouraging locals to welcome visitors warmly. Speaking at the event, Lisa, 28, said she was “excited and honoured” to collaborate with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and hoped to showcase a fresh side of Thailand, helping tourism “go further than before.”

The campaign, “Feel All The Feelings,” focuses on the emotions travellers experience across Thailand, highlighting cultural heritage, spirituality, natural beauty, and everyday local life. TAT governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool praised Lisa’s global influence, saying, “Whatever Lisa does, everyone knows, and everyone wants to follow. It’s the most powerful strategy ever employed by us.”

The launch event also premiered the campaign’s full advertising film, which will guide Thailand’s tourism promotions throughout 2026. Lisa’s ambassador role comes shortly after Blackpink concluded their Deadline World Tour on January 26, and follows her recent announcement of a role in the upcoming Netflix action film Tygo.
