Thai actor and singer Blue Pongtiwat Tangwancharoen has addressed months of speculation surrounding his relationship with BLACKPINK star Lisa, insisting that they are simply close friends and confirming that he is currently single.
Speaking to reporters at a press event on November 3 for the launch of his series The Remarried Empress, Blue said he was aware of the rumours but had not felt nervous or uncomfortable about the attention.
He explained that the two became close because they share mutual friends and have overlapping social circles within the entertainment industry.
When asked to describe his current relationship status using a colour, Blue jokingly said his heart was “blue” – a reference to the name adopted by his fan club.
The actor also dismissed speculation about them working together on a music project, clarifying that their only current collaboration is a campaign for the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
He further denied appearing in one of Lisa’s music videos after being asked about the possibility.
Rumours about the pair began circulating after they were spotted together at several occasions, including Lisa’s birthday celebration in Thailand and an outing on a street in London.
However, neither Lisa nor Blue has ever confirmed being romantically involved, and no relationship announcement has been made by either of their agencies.
The two have reportedly known each other since 2024. Lisa previously sent flowers to congratulate Blue on his debut as a recording artist, while he has described her as a mentor who offers advice on his career.
Born on March 15, 2000, Blue studied film and digital media at Srinakharinwirot University. He rose to prominence playing Pok in the drama Krong Kam, opposite Bella Ranee Campen, before starring in the 2024 series Ready, Set, Love.
Apart from acting, Blue is also pursuing a music career under LOVEiS Entertainment. He released the single You Give Me Butterflies with TEN in February and said he is currently preparing new music with his label’s team.
