BLACKPINK’s Rosé Maintains Blonde Hair With Gruelling Seven-Year Routine, Hairstylist Reveals

BLACKPINK fans were recently given a behind-the-scenes look at the dedication it takes for Rosé to maintain her signature blonde hair, as hairstylist ChaCha (Cha Jong Hyun) shared details of his extreme work schedule in an interview. ChaCha, who styles for BLACKPINK, Sunmi, and (G)I-DLE, revealed that he has been bleaching Rosé’s roots every two weeks for the past seven years. Despite his concern for her hair health, Rosé prioritises her public image, insisting on keeping the strict routine.

The stylist explained that when Rosé is overseas—whether in Paris or the U.S.—he flies out for same-day appointments to maintain her look. “Two weeks have passed, and Rosé is in the United States or Paris. There is no choice but to go. I take a same day business trip,” he said, detailing flights of 12 to 14 hours just for a three- to four-hour bleaching session. He admitted the travel took a toll on his pelvis and tailbone, though Rosé ensured he flew business class for comfort.
