Katy Perry Sparks Dating Rumors with Justin Trudeau After Cozy Montreal Dinner

Date:

Has pop superstar Katy Perry found new romance following her recent split from actor Orlando Bloom? Fans are buzzing with speculation after she was spotted dining with none other than former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Montreal, Canada.

The news broke on Tuesday (July 29) through entertainment outlet TMZ, which reported receiving footage of the pair enjoying a meal together at Le Violon—a trendy restaurant known for its seafood-centric dishes, seasonal Quebec vegetables, and creative takes on classics like monkfish, raw beef, and handmade pasta.

According to TMZ, Perry and Trudeau were seen sipping cocktails and sharing dishes, including a lobster entrée, during their evening out.

Both Perry and Trudeau are newly single. Earlier this month, Perry ended her nine-year, on-and-off relationship with Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom. The couple, who share a daughter named Daisy Dove Bloom (born in 2020), had been one of Hollywood’s most high-profile pairings.

Trudeau, meanwhile, announced his separation from wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. In a statement at the time, he emphasized that they would continue to remain a close family with mutual love and respect.

Perry is currently in Canada as part of The Lifetimes Tour, with eight shows scheduled across the country. While neither she nor Trudeau has confirmed anything beyond friendship, the Montreal dinner has certainly stirred public curiosity—and possibly, the start of a headline-making new chapter.
