Family of Three Narrowly Escapes Fiery Car Crash in Kampung Keroh

Date:

A terrifying incident unfolded yesterday afternoon when a Proton Saga carrying a family of three suddenly lost control, overturned, and burst into flames — nearly trapping them in a deadly blaze.

The accident occurred around 5pm near Kampung Keroh, close to SMK Kampung Keroh in Kuala Krai, Kelantan.

Sungai Durian Fire and Rescue Department chief Zuhimi reported that they received an emergency call at 4:52pm and promptly dispatched firefighters to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that all three occupants — aged between 11 and 50 — had miraculously escaped the burning vehicle on their own with only minor injuries. Their car, however, was fully engulfed in flames.

Preliminary investigations suggest the car lost control, crashed into a road divider, overturned, and then ignited.

Zuhimi noted that the victims were believed to be heading toward Kuala Lumpur at the time of the incident. Firefighters managed to fully extinguish the flames using special rescue equipment, but the car was completely destroyed.

All victims were later taken to Hospital Sultan Ismail Petra in Kuala Krai for further treatment.
