Police are tracking down a man believed to have assaulted a motorcyclist with a wooden stick in a recent incident in Johor Bahru South.
Johor Bahru South District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat said authorities became aware of the case after a 30-second video was uploaded on the social media platform Threads by an account named “Kari Puley”.
The footage allegedly shows a man driving a Perodua Myvi behaving aggressively, provoking a motorcyclist before striking him with a wooden object in the middle of the road.
Police believe the incident took place near a petrol station along Jalan Bukit Chagar, Bukit Senyum.
So far, no police report has been lodged by any of the parties involved, Raub said in a statement.
However, police have launched an active investigation to identify both individuals seen in the video and to determine the motive behind the altercation.
