Severe Continuous Rain Warning Issued for Multiple Areas in Sarawak

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a severe-level continuous rain warning for several parts of Sarawak, with heavy downpours expected to continue until tomorrow.

Director-general Dr Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip said in a statement that severe continuous rain is forecast in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman and Betong.

He added that an alert-level continuous rain warning has also been issued for Sri Aman (Lubok Antu), Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Mukah, Bintulu, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi).

Members of the public are urged to stay updated on current weather conditions through MetMalaysia’s official website, the myCuaca mobile app, or the department’s social media channels. Enquiries can also be directed to its hotline at 1-300-22-1638.
