No students were reported injured or required hospital treatment following an altercation involving several students at a school in Telok Panglima Garang, which went viral on social media on Thursday.
Kuala Langat District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi, said authorities detected a viral video of the incident around 8:30 a.m. and took immediate action.
“Preliminary investigations found that the fight took place within the school grounds. Officers from the Telok Panglima Garang Police Station were dispatched to the scene to conduct checks. The Kuala Langat District Police Headquarters also arrived at the school around 10 a.m. to gather further information,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
According to Mohd Akmalrizal, the investigation confirmed that no students sustained injuries, and all parties involved were called in to resolve the matter amicably.
“A three-way discussion was held involving the school, parents or guardians, and the police. All parties agreed not to pursue further action and to settle the issue peacefully,” he said.
The public was reminded not to spread false information or speculate, as this could cause confusion in the community.
“Strict action may be taken against anyone spreading false news under the relevant laws,” he added.
The incident of the student fight had previously gone viral, reportedly occurring within the school compound.
