Worker Left In Shock After Sling Bag With Salary Snatched In Klang

A wiring technician was left distraught after his sling bag containing his newly received salary was stolen by an unidentified individual at a construction storage site along Jalan Meru Tambahan, Klang, on Monday.

The victim, a 24-year-old local man, reportedly suffered losses of around RM400 following the incident.

Klang Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner S Vijaya Rao said the victim lodged a police report at about 6.30pm on the same day.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident occurred at around 8.30am when the victim had placed his sling bag on a toolbox outside the premises before heading into the kitchen area.

About 30 minutes later, the bag was found missing. CCTV footage later showed a suspicious man wearing a helmet fleeing the scene with the victim’s sling bag.

Following the report, police have opened an investigation under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft, and efforts are underway to track down the suspect.
