A man was caught on CCTV footage allegedly taking multiple delivery parcels into his home at Buangkok Crescent, Singapore, after several residents reported missing packages.
One affected resident, whose parcel contained items worth around S$40 (approximately RM130), shared the footage on Threads, claiming that her delivery was among those allegedly stolen.
Speaking to Mothership, the woman said she had since removed the video out of respect for everyone’s privacy and to allow the relevant parties to handle the matter.
She has also received compensation from delivery company J&T Express, while a police report has been lodged.
The woman said she had ordered items from Shein for her daughter’s overseas school trip and was expecting the delivery on Oct 29.
“When the delivery personnel came to my home, I was informed that my parcel had allegedly been stolen, together with several other parcels,” she said.
The delivery personnel subsequently offered her compensation.
The following day, a neighbour shared CCTV footage in the residents’ WhatsApp group, with other people also claiming that their parcels had gone missing.
One recording, captured on Oct 29, showed a man pushing a trolley loaded with parcels towards a residential unit.
He was then seen opening the door and carrying the packages inside one by one.
Another clip shared in the group allegedly showed the same man picking up a parcel left outside another unit before walking away with it.
The resident said she initially posted the footage not to attract attention or publicly shame anyone, but to alert others to the situation.
She explained that she was particularly concerned because she also operates a Shopee collection point in the neighbourhood.
“If something like this can happen to residents, I am concerned that it could potentially happen to parcels entrusted to me as well.
“My intention was to raise awareness about parcel security within our neighbourhood, not to determine anyone’s guilt. I understand that the circumstances need to be properly investigated,” she said.
