Panic erupted at a primary school in Mueang district after a nine-year-old boy allegedly returned to the school armed with a machete and chased a teacher in a shocking incident that has since gone viral on social media.
According to local media reports, the drama unfolded after the pupil became involved in a quarrel with one of his classmates. A teacher reportedly stepped in and reprimanded the boy over the incident.
The warning appeared to anger the pupil, prompting school staff to send him home. However, the situation took a frightening turn when the child later returned to the school carrying a machete.
Witnesses claimed the boy attempted to confront the teacher, forcing the educator to flee for safety. The alarming incident left many students terrified, with some reportedly breaking down in tears as chaos unfolded on school grounds.
A school caretaker eventually intervened and managed to calm the boy down. The caretaker reportedly persuaded him to move to an open area near the playground before successfully taking the machete away and bringing the situation under control.
Residents in the area later revealed that the child had allegedly displayed aggressive behaviour in the past, including bullying classmates, threatening other students and extorting money from them.
Reports also indicated that school administrators had previously held discussions with the boy’s family regarding his behaviour. He had reportedly been suspended from school before being allowed to return.
However, according to those familiar with the matter, the pupil’s conduct allegedly worsened after his return, with teachers and school staff finding it increasingly difficult to manage his behaviour.
